Remember Rally returns for seventh year
By From staff reports

September 03. 2009 10:29AM
The seventh annual Remember Rally motorcycle benefit run will be held Saturday, Sept. 12. Registration begins at 11 a.m. at the Howling Dog Saloon in Luverne, Minn. Riders will leave at 12:30 p.m. with a fire truck escort out of Luverne. The route includes stops in Pipestone, Slayton and Ruthton, Minn., Flandreau and Garretson.

The event will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, activities will be held at the Howling Dog Saloon.

Remember Rally organizers have located 100-plus acres in the Black Hills where they want to build a specialized health facility for those sick from chemical or toxin exposure. Categories served would be military (Agent Orange, Gulf War illnesses, Iraq), workplace contaminant, and catastrophes such as 9-11 or Katrina. The facility would offer traditional and complementary treatments. Specialists such as pulmonologists, ENTs, allergy and immunology, etc. would join with nutritionists, massage therapists, counselors and more to offer a well-rounded continuity of care.

For more information about the Remember Rally event or the health facility project, contact Diane Sherwood at (507) 283-4194 or email promos@iw.net.
