By From staff reports

November 17. 2009 9:32AM
Brandon Valley High School will serve as the site for the first H1N1 vaccine clinic to be offered in Brandon this Thursday.

From 3 to 5 p.m. in the high school auxiliary gym (the old competition gym), 500 doses of vaccine will be administered until the supply runs out.

The vaccinations are free.

Thursday’s clinics are open to adults age 25 to 64 with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and renal, cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases.

They also are for pregnant women, any child or young adult from 6 months to 24 years old, health and emergency workers and anyone who lives with or cares for infants 6 months and younger.

Clinics will also be offered in Sioux Falls at Falls Community Health, and at West Central High School.

Necessary paperwork may be downloaded from the school Web site, www.brandonvalleyschools.com in the quick links section.

Superintendent Dave Pappone said the clinic is not sponsored by the school district. Questions should be directed to Minnehaha County Emergency Management.
