BLC to host musical concerts

Brandon Lutheran Church will host several music presentations in the coming weeks.
On Sunday, Dec. 6, the church's chancel choir will present the cantata "The Winter Rose." The concert begins at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Dec. 13, the Alcester Community Choir will sing. This 35-member choir will bring regional singers and the premier operatic soprano from the Hunan Province of China to perform “Handel’s Messiah,” beginning at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 19, The South Dakota Choral, under the direction of Brian Schmidt,
will bring 20 professional singers to perform a concert of sacred selections and highlights from “Handel’s Messiah.” The group will perform “Handel’s Messiah” with roughly the same number of singers and instruments as when he premiered the piece in 1742. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
A free will offering will be taken at the concerts. The church is located at Fourth Avenue and Holly Boulevard in Brandon.
