Ghost walks scheduled in Pipestone
October 09. 2012 10:01AM
Ghost Walks, offered by the Pipestone Civil War Committee, in cooperation with the Pipestone County Museum, will be held Oct. 24 and Oct. 27. Both tours will begin at 8 p.m. at the museum, 113 South Hiawatha Ave. in Pipestone, across from the Historic Calumet Inn
Participants will stroll down Main Street and meander through alleyways, while a costumed guide spins tales of bizarre and unusual local tales as well as provide history of the area. Three locally published ghost story books also are available at the Pipestone County Museumís gift shop as a fundraiser to support both the Civil War Committee and the museum.
Pre-registration for the Ghost Walk is required, but walk-ins will be accommodated if space is available. The cost of the tour is $5 and not recommended for children. To register, call the Pipestone County Museum at 507-825-2563.
