Moss to remain with Chicago Bears
Former Brandon Valley High and South Dakota State receiver Dale Moss on Monday signed a two-year reserve/futures contract with the Chicago Bears.
The minimum-salary deal ensures that the 6-foot-4 Moss will be with the team through the offseason and into training camp. It was made on the same day that the team fired coach Lovie Smith.
Moss played just one year of college football, but signed with the Green Bay Packers after the 2012 NFL draft. He was cut at the end of training camp, but landed with the Tampa Bay practice squad and then wound up with the Bears practice squad.
Moss said via text message that he’ll train in the Sioux Falls area in February and March.
