Richard Blue V and Emily Steinhouse guided their respective Lynx club bowling teams to victory Friday against the West Central Trojans. Both the varsity I boys and varsity girls collected all four available points of their respective matches. Brandon Valley’s varsity II boys split points with West Central.

Blue rolled three 200-plus games en route to posting a 732 series. His best game of the day was a 257.

Mike Hillman finished just four pins shy of a 600 series. His best game Friday was his first, a 224. Ricky Delacruz added a 499 series to the cause, which was highlighted by a 197 game. Luke Laycock added a 490 series; his best game of the day was also his first, a 169.

The varsity 2 boys team was led by Darian Blue, who rolled a 201 to finish with a 534 series.

On the girl’s side, Emily Steinhouse finished with a 667 series that was fueled by a 246 game, her best effort of the match.

“We had some great scores against West Central,” said Lynx head coach Paul Ward.

Lauren Blue contributed a 493 series that was highlighted by a 181 game, while Kelsey Nimick’s best game of the day was a 155, leading to her 428 series.

Coach Ward said the junior varsity boys are improving greatly. “We have some real talent in the junior varsity division to ensure the continuation of Brandon Valley’s bowling club,” he said.

The Lynx club teams are now on hiatus until Friday, Jan. 10, when they face the Harrisburg Tigers on the lanes at Empire Bowl at 4 p.m.
