Baby, itʼs cold outside! Beat the winter blues with the Siouxland Libraries Winter Reading Program, open to adults 18 years and older. Log your reviews of the books you read on the Winter Reading Program website, and lucky participants will have a chance to win weekly prizes like advanced reader’s copies of books, Barnes & Noble gift cards, or the grand prize – a Nook HD 7 tablet!
Looking for a good read to get you started? Take our online Blind Date with a Book survey and let library staff handpick a book to warm up your reading habits.
Cure your cabin fever with a lineup of fun, free events, including snowshoeing, a book club mixer, speed book talking, the BibliOlympics, trivia night, and classes on swing dancing, geocaching, cheese making, green cleaning products, and upcycled crafts!
The 2014 Winter Reading Program runs through March 31. Stop in to any Siouxland Libraries location to sign up and get a full list of activities, or visit www.siouxlandlib.org/winter-reading-program.
