Paul Clark has been hired as Brandon's new building official code enforcement officer.
The Brandon City Council unanimously approved to hire Clark at their March 17 meeting.
Clark was one of 33 to apply for the position, with city administrators interviewing five of the applicants.
Clark comes to the Brandon position with 10 years of experience in the industry. He's previously worked for the cities of Luverne and Pipestone, Minn., Hartford, Alexandria, Va., and most recently, as the building inspector for Minnehaha County. Clark has also been called on for building inspection needs here since Dave Swier resigned from the position in early January.
Clark will be paid $20.84 per hour, and will officially start here on Monday, April 14.
