In preparation for road construction season, the Minnehaha County Commission last week awarded a pair of contracts.
The Sioux Falls firm Asphalt Surfacing Co.’s $1.3 million offer was the low bid for resurfacing projects on County Highways 109, 115 and 105. The high bid among four was $1.4 million, and all bids came in under the Highway Department’s estimates of $1.5 million, according to senior project engineer Shannon Schultz.
McLaughlin and Schultz, of Marshall, Minn., was awarded the contract for nearly 43 miles of chip sealing. The bid was $1.019 million.
The high bid among seven was $1.210 million.
