Grass fire burns

It took Sioux Falls Fire Rescue about a half-hour to contain a large grass fire Tuesday night in northeastern Sioux Falls.
Crews responded to the fire at 4100 N. Harley Place at 6:30 p.m. and the perimeter was contained by 7 p.m., Battalion Chief Jay Titus said. Fire department personnel remained on scene until 9:15 p.m. looking for embers.
The fire was off of East Rice Street between Interstate 229 and Great Bear Recreation Park.
Twenty acres were burned. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries, and no structures were damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
