Free tutoring program coming to library

Reading Bridge is a free tutoring program for elementary-aged children who struggle with reading and writing. This summer, the program is being offered at the Brandon Community Library, and runs from July 7-30.
Sessions are one-hour per session, two sessions per week for four weeks. In Brandon, the sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays at either 10 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon.
The reading/writing instruction is presented by trained tutors in a small-group setting. The goal is for elementary-aged children to continue reading and writing during the summer in order to minimize summer learning loss.
Parents who would like their children involved in the program can register online at readingbridge.org or go to the Brandon Community Library.
