Eric Oakland, a 1996 graduate of Brandon Valley High School, owns the video scribing company that provided the graphics for Weird Al Yankovic’s “Mission Statement”, one of the songs on the artist’s latest album released last week. The album has already reached No. 1 on the charts.
“Mission Statement” is a parody on corporate lingo and buzzwords, as well as on Crosby, Stills and Nash’s “Carry On.”
TruScribe, a white-board video company based in Fitchburg, Wis., (suburb of Madison) created the graphics for the video. ruScribe was the brainchild of Eric Oakland, who is Chief Innovative Officer for the company. TruScribe has done videos for Microsoft, Walmart, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as other large corporations.
