Registration closes July 10 for PRT’s theatre workshop

Registrations for Prairie Repetory Theatre’s 2009 Children’s Theatre Workshop will close July 10.
The workshops, which will be held at the Performing Arts Center in Brandon, will run from July 20 to Aug. 1. Class sizes are limited.
Five separate workshops will be offered. They include: Workshop 1: Acting Out I – for kids who have completed kindergarten and first grade. The workshop is July 20-25, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. There is a $60 fee that includes a T-shirt; Workshop 2: Acting Out II – for kids who have completed second and third grades. The workshop is July 20-25, 10:30 a.m. to noon. The fee, which includes a T-shirt, is $60; Workshop III: Play It Like It Is – for kids who have completed fourth and fifth grades. The workshop is July 20-24 and July 27-Aug. 1, 1 to 3 p.m. The $75 fee includes a T-shirt; Workshop IV: Song and Dance for the Musical Theatre I – for kids who have completed sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The workshop is scheduled for July 10-24 and July 27-Aug. 1, 1 to 3 p.m. The $75 fee also includes a T-shirt; and finally, Workshop V: Song and Dance for the Musical Theatre II – for youth who have completed ninth and 10th grades. The workshop is scheduled for July 27 through Aug. 1, 9:30 a.m. to noon. The $65 fee includes a T-shirt.
Each of the five workshops will have final performances. Workshop I and II are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on July 25, and Workshops III, IV and V will be at 3 p.m. on Aug. 1.
