Lynx keglers roll over Hartford
By From staff reports

February 03. 2010 6:00AM
A tough lane condition kept the scores down, but the Lynx bowlers were back on the prowl against the first-year Hartford area squads. After last week’s loss to Washington, the boys’ varsity teams rebounded by winning their matches 22-3 and 23-2, giving them the overall win 45-5.
Senior Nick Rock rolled the high game for the boys with a 192. Rock, eighth grader Richard Blue V, senior Trase Anderson and sophomore Josh Hillman all swept both of the match points.

The girls got back on the winning track by winning the varsity 1 match 22-3.

Sophomore Haley Rubin led the team with a 167 game. Rubin and eighth grader Mariah Clark won both of their head to head games.

The Hartford girls don’t have enough players to fill the roster, so the Lynx varsity 2 girls bowled unopposed and received the entire 25 points. Junior Allison Kiner rolled a high game of 151.

The junior varsity boys and girls each had no opposition to face, but bowled three games to maintain their average.

The highlight for the junior varsity teams was from the girl’s side as junior Jasmine Miller rolled the high game of the day, a 199, which was a new career high. That game topped off her 472 series, which was also a career high. Freshman Ashlynn Boerhave also added a career high 154 game and 429 series.
The boy’s junior varsity team was topped by eighth grader Mike Hillman’s 173 game and 482 series and senior Garrett Maxson’s 166 game and 474 series.

The varsity Lynx teams made up their match with Harrisburg on Feb. 2, and this Friday, will host Brookings at 4 p.m. at Valley Lanes and Rec.
