High school students invited to compete for national art spotlight

South Dakota high school students are invited to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition.
The state’s best entry will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol Complex with works from other congressional districts.
The deadline for artwork to be received by the South Dakota Arts Council is April 16.
Winning artists will be invited to a June 17 reception in Washington.
The state’s second-best entry will go up in the office of Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.
