BVVPA hosts threshing event this Sunday

The Brandon Valley Vintage Power Association will hold a threshing event Sunday, Sept. 12 at the Burkman farm east of Brandon.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. with a church service. The vintage tractors will have a Parade of Power at 1 p.m., with announcers telling about each machine.
The threshing will begin right after the parade. There also will be oats shelling and plowing with the vintage machines.
Other activities during the afternoon will be a kiddie tractor pull, concessions and demonstrations of shingle making and shoelace making.
The Burkman farm is located 3/4 mile north of the Beaver Valley Lutheran Church, on 484th Avenue.
