Parks taking reservations through Oct. 11

Campers can make reservations into the fall at Big Sioux Recreation Area at Brandon, Newton Hills State Park near Canton, and Palisades State Park at Garretson.

From Sept. 7 until Oct. 11, reservations for Newton Hills can be made until 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. At the other parks, camping reservations can be made until noon the day before arrival.

From Oct 12 until May 1, reservations for cabins and lodges can be made until noon the day before arrival for Monday through Thursday arrivals and until noon on Thursday for Friday through Sunday arrivals.

Camping reservations can be made online at www.campsd.com or by calling 1-800-710-2267.
