Arnold Berger, 78
Memorial services for Arnold "Bud" Berger, 78, of Sioux Falls, were held Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Burial with military rites by the American Legion Post 15, followed at Woodlawn Cemeteryy.
Mr. Berger died Nov. 28, 2010 in Apache Junction, Ariz.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Marlene; his children, Kathy Berger, Des Moines, Iowa, Cindy Binkerd, Sioux Falls, Terri Dunkelberger, Tea, Brenda Parker, Rapid City, Steve Jungersen, Point Blank, Texas, David Jungersen, Rapid City, and Sherry Jungersen, Brandon; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Kendall Cressman, 17
Funeral services for Kendall Cressman, 17, of Brandon, were held Friday, May 13, 2011, at Celebration United Methodist Church in Brandon. Burial was in the Brandon Cemetery.
Kendall died Monday, May 9, 2011.
Kendall Jerrod Cressman, son of Paul Cressman and Camille (Wells) Cressman, was born June 27, 1993, in Sioux Falls. Kendall grew up in Brandon where he attended the Brandon Valley Schools and was currently a senior at Brandon Valley High School. Kendall enjoyed playing baseball for Brandon Valley High School, skateboarding, disc golfing and reading. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and had a love for panda bears.
Kendallís energetic and encouraging nature rubbed off on all those he met. His quick wit and playful attitude will be greatly missed by all those he leaves behind.
Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Paul Cressman and Camille (Wells) Cressman, both of Brandon; brother, Calvin Cressman, Brandon; grandparents, Bill and Lois Wells, Custer, Kathy and Jim Spieker, Niceville, Fla., and Dennis Cressman, Onida; great-grandmother, Joyce Schrag, Parker; uncle, Brian (Emily) Wells, Elk Point; cousins, Nicole and Natalie Wells, Elk Point; and special friend, Anna Carrell, Sioux Falls.
Kendall was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Lloyd and Lorraine Schrag, Irving and Lavina Cressman, and Kenneth and Ethel Larsen.
Kendallís family requests that memorials be directed to the Brandon Community Foundation for substance abuse education.

Ben Eller, 87
Ben Eller, 87, formerly of Grand Junction, Colo., passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at his daughterís home near Garretson. In accordance with Benís wishes, no services will be held.
He is survived by his son, Steven Eiler, Helena, Mont.; daughters, Carol Eller, Sioux Falls, Jean (Mike) Heisler, Garretson, Terry Eller (Mike Whype), Watsonville, Calif., and Anita (Dave) Peterson, Elk River, Minn.; brothers, Bruce (Linda) Eller, Raymond, Colo., and Robert Eller, Cedar Falls, Iowa; and man grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William.

Irene A. Hendren, 94
Funeral services for Irene A. Hendren, 94, of Sioux Falls, were held Monday, May 9, 2011, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
Mrs. Hendren died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters, Patricia Hendren, Fallon, Neve., and Mary (Ben) Koens, Whitewood; a son, Jerry (Candy) Hendren, Valley Springs; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hendren; three sons, Robert, James and John Hendren; daughter, Cynthia Wingert; two sisters; and two brothers.

Steven Scofield, 58
Funeral services for Steven Scofield, 58, of Flandreau, were held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Union Cemetery.
Mr. Scofield died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his home in Flandreau under hospice care.
He is survived by his wife, Renae; four children, Teresa (Chad) Mohr, Arlington, Jean (Shannon) Pulscher, Flandreau, Scott Scofield, Rapid City and Randy Scofield, Brandon; eight grandchildren; his mother, Betty Scofield, Flandreau; six siblings, Kathy (Jerry) Doyle, Flandreau, Nancy (Chris) Iott, Ward, Alice (Bob) Kurtz, Elkton, Roger Scofield, Judy (Randy) Wilts and Norvie (Kamie) Scofield, all of Flandreau.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norvald Scofield Sr.

Leona Wulf, 88
Funeral services for Leona Wulf, 88 of Sabetha, Kan., formerly of Lester, Iowa, were held Friday, May 13, 2011, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wulf died Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
Leona Beth (Banwart) Wulf was born July 25, 1922, to Paul and Elizabeth (Benninger) Banwart near West Bend, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm in a family of 13 children. Following graduation from West Bend High School, Leona moved to Elgin, Ill., to work. She later returned to West Bend where she was employed in the office at Montag Motors. Believing in God, she was baptized in the Apostolic Christian Church and has been a member since 1941.
On Sept. 2, 1951, she was united in marriage to Wilhelm (Bill) Wulf at West Bend. They raised their family while farming on the Minnesota-Iowa state line south of Hills, Minn. She enjoyed raising a large garden to provide for her family. Her children remember her reading books and singing to them throughout their childhood. In 1978, Bill and Leona retired and moved into Hills, and in 1996 to the Lester (Iowa) Retirement Apartments. After residing in Premier Estates Retirement Center and Rock Rapids (Iowa) Health Center they moved to Apostolic Christian Home of Sabetha. Daily news and Bible study was a nursing home activity that she enjoyed after moving there. Her husband of 55 years passed away on June 16, 2007.
She is survived by seven children, Carol (Dave) Knapp of Roanoke, Ill., Dale (Becky) Wulf of Lester, Darlene (Arden) Stoller of Sabetha, Arnie (Myra) Wulf of Sioux Falls, Julie (Jon) Schmidgall of Mediapolis, Iowa, Stanley (Pam) Wulf of Morris, Minn., and Leroy (Carolyn) Wulf of Mediapolis. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Leona's three surviving siblings are Alice Metzger of Alvord, Iowa, Lela Banwart of West Bend, Iowa, Estellyn Metzger of Lester, Edwin Banwart of Mediapolis, Paul Banwart of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Robert Banwart of West Bend. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Madelyn Banwart of West Bend, Esther Banwart of Tremont, Ill., and Betty Banwart of West Bend.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 55 years, Bill; four brothers, Arthur, Elmer, Arnold and Benji; and two sisters, Clara Anliker and Miriam Frieden; a grandson, Landon Wulf; and great-grandson, Daniel Schmidgall.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home of Sabetha or to Apostolic Christian Home for the Handicapped in Morton, Ill.
