District is thankful for support of staff, public

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving last week and that families had time to relax and play together.
At Brandon Valley Schools we are certainly thankful for the kids that show up every day ready and eager to learn and the parents and caregivers that support them and the district’s efforts. The district is thankful for the wonderful teachers, administrators and support staff who meet our students where they are in their learning and give them what they need to make meaningful progress toward their goals and aspirations. Finally, we are thankful for all those in the communities that make up the district who give us their unfailing support.
Thanks, too, for those who willingly sacrifice precious time to serve on the Brandon Valley School Board: Jay Rasmussen, President; Renee Ullom, Vice President; Sue Hegland; Gregg Ode; and Sandy Klatt. What a blessing it is to have these smart, caring people looking out for our kids’ educations.
The Brandon Valley Core Operating Principle is: “Our business is the creation of learning environments that result in success.” It takes the efforts and support of all the stakeholders to bring that Principle to life. There are few districts in South Dakota that have the kind of support and commitment we see every day at Brandon Valley. What a great place to live!
