Senior Companions spring benefit concert is April 21

The Singing Boys of Sioux Falls Concert Choir will perform at a benefit concert for the Senior Companion Program on Sunday, April 21. The auditioned choir for boys in grades 4-8 will perform a variety of sacred selections, as well as folk songs from around the world – the United States, France, Germany, Japan, Israel and Czechoslovakia.
Entertainment is sponsored by Miller Funeral Home. Concert sponsors are Midco Connections and Midcontinent Communications. Grant funding provided by Citi and matching funds provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The benefit concert will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 21, in the Jerstad Center on The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan National Campus, 4800 W. 57th St., in Sioux Falls.
All benefits will go to support the Senior Companion Program, a non-profit organization that matches senior volunteers with seniors who need help. Senior Companions provide assistance with daily activities, transportation and friendship with a goal of helping their clients remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
The cost for the concert is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $2 for children ages 4-12. Children 3 and under are free. Refreshments and a raffle drawing featuring a handmade quilt will also be part of the afternoon. Concert tickets are available at the door.
