April 23. 2013 10:01AM
Eagle Scout candidate Caleb Impecoven is teaming up with Siouxland Libraries to conduct a book drive to collect new and gently used children’s books for the Feeding South Dakota Summer Backpack Program.
Children’s book donation receptacles will be placed at the Main, Caille, Oak View, and Ronning Branch Libraries from May 1 through June 15. The book drive goal is to collect 1,200 children’s books suitable for giving to children who need them most this summer.
Impecoven and members of Boy Scout Troop 48 will collect donated children’s books at participating libraries and prepare them for distribution through the Summer Backpack Program.
