Brandon Valley's best resource is its people

Let the hiring begin! At the last two school board meetings the board approved nine new hires, four additional resignations/retirements and nine transfers of teachers from one assignment to another. There are still numerous openings for teachers, child nutrition workers, coaches, bus drivers and others to be filled. It is certainly a busy time of year for the principals and others who are interviewing candidates.
Finding top quality candidates to fill all positions is so important to the long-term success of the district. The hiring teams are interviewing dozens of applicants to find the very best fit for the needs of the Brandon Valley students. Competition with our neighbors is always a challenge and the top candidates often have multiple offers. We are always pleased when these highly sought after candidates choose Brandon Valley.
We are continuing to recover from the deep budget cuts that were imposed on us a couple years ago and have begun to add new positions to our wonderful team at Brandon Valley. Adding staff, while taking care of our current employees, is sometimes a delicate balance.
The district looks forward to welcoming all the new staff members next fall and we are confident they will be great assets. Our staff is dedicated to creating learning environments that result in success for our students. Truly, our best resource in Brandon Valley is our people – staff, students, parents and communities.
