Daniel Dammer, 47
Funeral services for Daniel Jay Dammer, 47, of Sioux Falls, were held Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Celebrate Community Church, Sioux Falls. Interment was in the Hills of Rest Cemetery, Sioux Falls.
Mr. Dammer died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Angie of 27 years; four children, Jacob Dammer, Lacey (Jason) Gervais and son Chase, and Gabriel (Grace Dammer), all of Sioux Falls; parents, Carl and Darlene Dammer, Sioux Falls; in-laws, Jerry and Jeannie Brincks, Sioux Falls; three brothers, Todd (Nan) Dammer, and Terry Dammer, all of Sioux Falls, and Russ (Kim) Dammer, Parker, Colo.; half-sister, Deb Mofle, Chaska, Minn.; sister, Aimee (Dan) Roehrs, San Antonio, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends.

Donald J. Frerk, Jr., 61
Funeral services for Donald Jay Frerk, Jr., 61, of Garretson, were held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Garretson.
Mr. Frerk died unexpectedly on Wednesda, May 1, 2013.
Don was born Aug. 29, 1951 to Donald Frerk, Sr. and Joan (Eitreim) Frerk in Pipestone, Minn. He was raised in Garretson, graduating in 1969. He married Mary (Garry) Frerk on July 11, 1970. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1971-75 as an electrical mechanic on the USS Kitty Hawk. In 1978 Don joined the family business by purchasing Don’s Auto from his father.
He is survived by his wife Mary, Garretson; children, Michelle (Leon) Olofson, Sioux Falls, Valerie (Steve) Salzbrunn, Oswego, Ill., and Brad (Solveig) Frerk, Garretson; grandchildren, Sydney and Hayden Olofson, Chloe and Hailey Salzbrunn, Diontae, Aliah, Ella and Lydia Frerk.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund to honor Don.

James E. Watembach, 68
Memorial services for James E. Watembach, 68, of Yankton, were held Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Yankton. A private family burial followed.
Mr. Watembach died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Avera Yankton Care Center, Yankton.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; children, Jarrod (Stacy) Watembach and children, Tyler and Tiffany of Alexandria, Wade (Wendy) Watembach and children, Jake and Scott of Fountain, Colo., Monte (Sonja) Watembach and children, Rylan and Braden of Sioux Falls; sisters, Karen Watembach of Sheridan, Wyo., Rita (Marlin) Stubbe of Brandon, and Mari Molseed of West Union, Iowa.
Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, was in charge of arrangements.
Nell M. Serr, 82
Funeral services for Nell Serr, 82, of Gregory, were held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium in the Community Room. Burial was in the Olive Branch Cemetery near Mills, Neb.
Mrs. Serr died Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Winner Regional Nursing Home in Winner.
Nell was born March 10, 1931, at Aransas Pass, Texas.
Nell is survived by her husband Roland; daughters, Connie Ross of Holdrege, Neb., and Grace (Everett) Kracht of Garretson; sister Dixie Diedering; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and an infant daughter.
Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home, Gregory, was in charge of arrangements.
