People of Sioux Falls, check your lottery tickets.
A Powerball ticket sold in Sioux Falls is worth $1 million in the latest drawing.
As of 9:10 a.m., no one has come forward to claim the $1 million Powerball prize or the $119,000 Dakota Cash prize, according to the South Dakota Lottery, a division of the state Department of Revenue.
Kelly Thompson, with South Dakota Lottery, said their policy is not to reveal the name of the store that sold the ticket until a winner is verified. But she said the Powerball ticket was sold at a drug store and the Dakota Cash prize ticket was sold at a convenience store.
Winners have 180 days to claim their prize, she said. Winners can call South Dakota Lottery at 773-5770.
South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched all five white ball numbers but missed the Powerball to win the game’s second prize in Wednesday night’s drawing. The odds of winning it are one in about 5.2 million.
A ticket sold in Rapid City is worth $10,000 in the drawing. The ticket matched four of five white ball numbers and missed the Powerball to win the third prize. The odds are one in about 649,000.
Powerball is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. No one won the $360 million jackpot on Wednesday, so it increases to $475 million for Saturday's drawing.
