Moss signs with Carolina
Brandon Valley and South Dakota State grad Dale Moss has landed on his feet again, signing with the Carolina Panthers June 19. It’s the fourth NFL home for the receiver in a little more than one year as a pro.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pounder was released by the Chicago Bears two weeks ago, a move that caught him off guard. But Carolina got in touch in short order and had him at its facility June 17, signing him without so much as a workout and putting him through a quick orientation.
“They were looking at me early on when I signed as a free agent with Green Bay,” said Moss, who also spent time with Tampa Bay. “It was a good situation, especially after Chicago with the new staff – there just weren’t a lot of reps to go around.”
Moss is the 13th receiver on the Panthers roster. He’ll report to training camp July 21.
