Sand sculpture workshop for teens at Main, Brandon branch libraries
July 02. 2013 9:18AM
Even though there’s no ocean nearby, teens can create sand sculptures at the Main Branch of Siouxland Libraries at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, and at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 at the Brandon Branch.
The library will provide sand, glue and other necessary ingredients for making sand sculptures at this free workshop for middle and high school students. Space is limited and registration is required. To reserve a place in this 90-minute workshop, teens can call 367-8710 or register online at www.siouxlandlib.org/teens.
The library’s Sand Sculpture Workshop is offered as part of Beneath the Surface @ Your Library, a free reading club where teens can earn a variety of prizes by keeping track of their summer reading. Students entering grades 6–12 this fall may participate by registering at the library’s teen website or by picking up a reading log at any Siouxland Libraries branch.
