Plant Pal Craft at Siouxland Libraries next week
July 16. 2013 10:24AM
Siouxland Libraries will sponsor a free Plant Pal Make-and-Take Craft for children, July 22–26. Elementary school-aged children are invited to drop in and decorate their own grassy-haired friend from soil, seeds, water, and imagination. Preschoolers may participate with parental assistance. Groups of ten or more should schedule a start time by calling 367-8710.
Children can create their own Plant Pals between 3 and 4:30 p.m. at the Baltic Branch on Tuesday, July 22; and between 2:30 and 4 p.m. at the Main Library on Tuesday, July 23; the Caille Branch on Wednesday, July 24; and the Ronning Branch on Thursday, June 24.
On Friday, July 26, the Plant Pal Craft will be held at the Oak View Branch from 10:15 until 11:45 a.m. and at the Brandon Branch from 2:30 until 4 p.m.
This free program is offered as part of Siouxland Libraries’ summer reading club, “Dig into Reading,” where children can earn a variety of prizes by keeping track of their summer reading. Reading logs are available on the library’s website, www.siouxlandlib.org, and at any Siouxland Libraries branch.
