Bethany Meadows is excited to announce that original artwork recently completed by Bethany Meadows residents will go on display in the Bethany Art Gallery on Tuesday, Aug. 27, beginning at 4 p.m. This marks the first time that Bethany will be exhibiting artwork created by Bethany Meadows residents. Previous exhibits featured artwork by Bethany Home – Brandon residents as well as Bethany staff.

The public is invited to come to the opening to see the artwork and meet the artists. Nine original paintings were painted by six Bethany Meadows residents during painting classes for residents over the past two months. The classes were led by Bethany Meadows resident, Ruby Peterson.

The exhibit opening will feature champagne and appetizers and a short gallery talk. The exhibit will run through the end of September.

“We are continually amazed by and grateful for our residents’ array of talents,” said Bethany Meadows Administrator Jane Gullickson. “It is fun to be able to showcase their work in our own art gallery, and I hope people will come and look at the awesome artwork.”

The Bethany art gallery was established earlier this year and resides in the area that links Bethany Meadows and Bethany Home - Brandon. Previous exhibits have featured nature photography by Bethany staff, paintings by Bethany Home residents, as well as drawings by the grandson of a Bethany resident.

This is one of the nine paintings that wwas painted by a Bethany Meadows resident. The paintings will be celebrated at an exhibit opening at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. The public is invited to attend. Submitted photo
