Brandon Council ro address sidewalk issues tonight
September 16. 2013 7:25AM
Two sidewalk related issues are on tonight's Brandon City Council agenda.
First, the Council will discuss a letter from the Brandon Lutheran Church Council on the Safe Routes to School proposal, and secondly, residents who live west of the city are asking for a sidewalk from that area for safer access to Brandon.
Also on tonight's agenda is the second reading of Ordinance No. 505, which will be the final approval for the city's 2014 budget.
The Council is also expected to approve Resolution #20-13, which calls for an election to issue general obligation bonds for improvements to Aspen Park, and Resolution #22-13, which would establish a rate for cutting weeds.
There are several other items on tonight's agenda as well.
The meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 308 Main Ave., is open to the public.
