Lynx boys face Lincoln today in state soccer quarterfinal action
By Staff reports

October 17. 2013 9:28AM
The 2013 South Dakota State Soccer High School Championships will be played today through Saturday at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.

The playoff round of the high school season has been completed and the top teams have been seeded for boys and girls in both the “A” and “AA” divisions.

Sioux Falls will host the state tournament and first round competition will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, semi-finals on Friday and championship games on Saturday.

Tournament brackets with team pairings and scores can be found on the South Dakota State Soccer website at www.southdakotasoccer.com.

High School soccer has been administered as a club sport by the South Dakota State Soccer Association since 1997. Although soccer is now a sanctioned sport, the teams participating in the South Dakota State Soccer High School Championships are teams that have not yet been able to gain sanctioning for their school and playing as a club sport within their schools.

SDSSA will continue to support the sanctioning process for all teams as we work through the transitioning process with the South Dakota High School Activities Association.

For further information, contact Janice Stoebner with South Dakota Soccer.
