Concordia Orchestra tour stops in Sioux Falls

The Concordia Orchestra from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5500 E. 57th St., Sioux Falls. The concert is sponsored by the Gloria Dei Music Ministry and is open to the public. A freewill offering will be accepted. For information, call (605) 371-3737.
This concert is part of the orchestra’s 2013 regional tour which also includes stops in Rapid City, Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls and Helena, Mont., and Bismarck, N.D.
The 2013 Concordia Orchestra concert tour program includes music of Aaron Copland and Antonin Dvorak. This year’s faculty soloist will be Dr. Leigh Wakefield, clarinet professor, performing Mozart’s “Clarinet Concerto in A-Major K. 622.”
