Special Halloween ghost walks offered
October 23. 2013 9:29AM
The summer Ghost Walks offered by the Pipestone Civil War Committee, in cooperation with the Pipestone County Museum, are back for Halloween!
Two tours will be offered, Saturday, Oct. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 30. Both tours will begin at 8 p.m. and will start at the Pipestone County Museum to take a stroll down Main Street and meander through alleyways, while a costumed guide spins tales of some bizarre and unusual local tales as well as providing some history of the area.
Three locally published ghost story books are also available at the Pipestone County Museum’s gift shop as a fundraiser to support both the Civil War Committee and the Museum.
The cost of the tour is $5 and not recommended for children. Pre-registration for the Ghost Walk is required by calling the Pipestone County Museum at 507-825-2563.
Proceeds from this joint fundraiser will go towards the Pipestone Civil War Festival activities and the Pipestone County Museum’s operations.
The Pipestone County Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Museum is located at 113 S. Hiawatha Ave. in Pipestone, across from the Historic Calumet Inn.
