Lynx 'school' newcomer Yankton on lanes Friday

The Lynx club bowling teams welcomed Yankton to the bowling scene Friday at Empire Bowl, sending the league newcomers home with a pair of losses and a tie.
Brandon Valley’s varsity I boy’s were victorious in all of their matches, while varsity II took 2-of-4, and the Lady Lynx winning all of their matches.
“We once again had a great match and are really enjoying our season,” said coach Paul Ward.
Mike Hillman and Richard Blue V finished with 615 and 613 series, respectively. Hillman’s best effort of the day was a 208, while Blue rolled an even 200 to lead the Lynx boys.
Tyler Limmer’s 516 series – the team’s third best on Friday – was fueled by a 221 game, which was the high game for Lynx program.
The Lady Lynx were led by underclassman Lauren Blue, who posted a 543 series. Her best game Friday was a 203. Senior Emily Steinhouse had a 519 series that was highlighted by a 214 game.
Brandon Valley’s junior varsity boys continue improve their bowling pin count, Ward added.
This Friday, the Lynx bowlers take their game to the lanes at Sport Bowl to take on the West Central Trojans at 4 p.m. The team is then on break until Jan. 10, when they host Harrisburg at Empire Bowl.
