Sioux Falls man dies in crash near Rowena Sunday evening

A Sioux Falls man died in a two-vehicle crash six miles east of Sioux Falls on Sunday night, according to the Department of Transportation. The accident happened just after 9 p.m. across from the Red Rock Bar in Rowena.
Meg Raj Gajmer, 18, of Sioux Falls, was driving a 2008 Scion tC eastbound on S.D. Highway 42, and Michael Charles Fedt, 26, of Brookings was traveling westbound on the Highway in a 2014 Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The vehicles collided in the westbound lane when Gajmer’s vehicle crossed the center lane. The vehicles then traveled into the north ditch where they came to rest.
Gajmer sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Fedt received serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
His passenger, Jessica Loosbrock, 25 of Sioux Falls, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.
No further information is immediately available.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
