Lady Lynx keglers split with Rough Riders

The Roosevelt Rough Riders took all of the matches from the Lynx boys club bowling team Friday on the lanes at the Sport Bowl in Sioux Falls. And while he Lynx boys didn’t fare so well, Brandon Valley’s short-staffed girl’s team took two of the four match points against Roosevelt.
A trio of Brandon Valley boys had a good day on the lanes. Ricky Delacruz posted a 535 series behind games of 188, 146 and 201.
Richard Blue V’s best game of the day was a 211, which propelled him to a 612 series. Tyler Limmer and Luke Laycock posted three-game totals of 491 and 487, respectively.
Junior varsity bowler Dustin Kemner showed great improvement Friday. He opened with games of 169 and 165, and followed up with a 121 for the 455 series to raise his season average to 128.
Finally, Lynx head coach Paul Ward cited JV bowler Mitchell Spainhower’s 468 series. He rolled games of 174, 144 and 150.
“What improvement we are seeing this year,” Ward said.
Emily Steinhouse and Lauren Blue led the Lady Lynx with 525 and 497 series, respectively. Kelsey Nimick’s best game of the day was a 148, which aided in her 386 series. Victoria Braley posted a 278 series Friday.
The Lynx club teams continue their 2013-14 schedule this Friday on the lanes at Empire Bowl in Sioux Falls against Sioux Falls O’Gorman. Bowling gets underway at 4 p.m.
