MINUTES
PLANNING & ZONING
COMMISSION
The Brandon Planning & Zoning Commission met in regular session at 6:30 p.m. on June 5, 2014 at the Brandon City Council Chambers.
Roll call was taken. Members present were Commissioners Paul Bosch, Chuck Parsons, Bob Serk and Todd Stone. Also present were Alderman Roger Brooks City Administrator Bryan Read. Absent were Members Tim Jorgenson, Linda Weber and Mayor Larry Beesley.
Commissioner Bosch moved Commissioner Stone seconded to approve the agenda with the addition of discussion on temporary signage. Motion carried.
Commissioner Parsons moved Commissioner Stone seconded to approve the consent calendar which contained the following items: a plat of Country Gables Estates First Addition Lots 5A and 6A; and a plat of Tallgrass Village Lot 9B Block 1. Motion carried
Commissioner Serk moved Commissioner Bosch seconded to approve the minutes of the May 15, 2014 regular meeting. Motion carried.
The Bluffs Addition - next phase, preliminary layout was presented for discussion. Concerns with the north culdesac being over 500' in length. No action taken.
Temporary signage - current City Ordinance allows for 10 day placement/$10 permit fee. Needs to be enforced.
Building permits were presented for May - #14-93 - #14-133. No action taken
Comprehensive plan - Toby Brown, SECOG was present for discussion. Commission members went over the draft that was presented at the last meeting.
At 7:12 p.m. having no further business, Commissioner Stone moved Commissioner Bosch seconded to adjourn the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting. Motion carried.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PIONEER PARK PLAY
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT
Sealed bids shall be received by the City of Brandon, South Dakota, at the office of the Municipal Finance Officer of said city until 10:00 a.m. on July 28, 2014 when they will be publicly opened and read.
The project generally consists of furnishing and installing freestanding playground equipment and structures as specified in the specificaitions. Detailed specifications can be seen at the Brandon City Hall, 304 Main Avenue, Brandon, South Dakota, 57005. You can have the specifications and forms mailed or e-mailed upon request by calling 605-582-6515.
The bidder shall submit the proposal on the forms prescribed and proposals will be rejected if they show any conditions or uncalled for alternate bids. All bids shall be on the basis of a 30 day cash payment account.
The City of Brandon reserves the right to delay a decision for purchase for a period not to exceed 30 days after the date and time set for opening of the bids. The City of Brandon reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any parts thereof.
